The Happy Luza jumps from Cloudbursts to playing River Dragons
Hi Guys.
Tunnels closed, streets flooded and kids floating through the streets on air matrasses. My part of europe is experiencing more and more cloudbursts.
It is a sudden aggressive rainstorm falling for a short period of time limited to a small geographical area.
It happens when a raincloud is unable to release its water, due to the flow of hot air comming from below. Creating a denser and denser cloud, untill the point that the cloud can no longer retain the water inside it, and just like water in a paper bag: At some point it just lets go.
Experts say, that with the earth heating up, Cloudbursts, will become more frequent, and with time more severe...
This week I am playing a game where you can learn to cross a flooded street, using stones and planks. This week I am playing: River Dragons
In River Dragons, players try to move their figur to the other side. Every turn, players secretly choose 5 actions, which they put in sequence. Simultaniously, one at a time, the cards are revealed, and carried out in player order. Place or remove stones and planks. Move one or two steps, or jump over an opponent. Or strategicly block one of the other players. I find the regular version very fiddly and small, but am very glad I got a copy of the big version. Great fun for the whole family.
You can find some heavier games using the same principle of planning ahead on my youtube channel. Look for The Happy Luza.
