Who will survive? Who will thrive? And who will not make it out of the wilderness alive? The New World, promising freedom and prosperity to those who dare brave its desperate expanse, has quickly become a savage free for all. And yet wagons full of pioneers, fuelled by a dangerous combination of optimism, naivety and idealism, continue the march West. In We Forlorn Few, players take control of pioneers and must race across the country to be the first to reach the city of Newhaven. On their turn, players must take risks to gather and manage their resources in order to travel, cure ailments, buy items, and trade with others. If they fail to do so, they will find themselves turned ravenous by hunger, and their survival is now based on one thing: hunting down remaining players. The game ends when players have either reached Newhaven, or when all players have turned ravenous and there is no one left in the wild to satisfy the hunger. Quick to learn and impossible to predict, We Forlorn Few balances simple and satisfying mechanics with heart-in-mouth risk and seemingly impossible odds, creating a game perfect for players with all levels of experience.
