Pergola Review: How this Cozy Board Game Completely Surprised Me

Description provided by The Game Bard on YouTube:

What if a moment of pure puzzling joy wasn’t found in some grand quest, but in the simple choice of where to place a ladybug? Pergola is a beautiful set collection and tile placement game where you build your own little piece of nature through cozy choices, clever action selection, and a garden full of bees, frogs, ladybugs, flowers, and satisfying scoring paths. A copy of Pergola was provided for content creation purposes My Top 10 of 2025: https://youtu.be/AvSOijKmh9o?si=Xo6sk7kvtdlpN6f5 🏆 Game Highlights: 🧩 Tool selection drives the puzzle — it’s not just what you gain, but what you leave behind 🐸 Frog, waterfall, and bird actions create layered turns with lots of tiny ripple effects 🌸 Cozy gardening theme delivers nature, charm, and relaxing vibes without the dirt under your nails 🧠 Many scoring paths give the game a strong left brain/right brain balance 🐞 Production is gorgeous, with wooden insects, frogs, cardboard tools, and bright inviting art ♾️ Tons of replayability from the many ways to build and score your garden ⚠️ Not for players who want something simple and light — the choices can be overwhelming 🎵 I composed the music in this video.
