Painting Ludwigs Holy Blade Hunter - Bloodborne with Lotus #boardgames #miniature #painting

Description provided by Lotus Thalia on YouTube:

In this Bloodborne miniature painting video, I paint a personal, nun-inspired interpretation of Ludwig the Holy Blade. This is not intended as Ludwig’s canonical appearance. Instead, I reimagined the tragedy surrounding the Holy Blade through the solemn figure of a priestess—dressed in pale robes, carrying an enormous sacred weapon and marked by the violence of the Hunt. The main focus of this project is the flowing white cloak and robe. I build the fabric with subtle shadows and controlled drybrushing, keeping the overall color pale while allowing the sculpted folds to remain visible. The clean white cloth is gradually disrupted by dark bloodstains concentrated around the lower edges of the robe. Rather than covering the entire garment, I place the blood selectively along the hem, creating irregular splashes, dragged marks and upward streaks. Cold metallic details around the waist help separate the white fabric, while the enormous blade combines dark metal with aged bronze and gold ornamentation. Its size and decorated surface make it the second major focal point of the miniature. To complete the scene, I add a small amount of snow effect to the base. The pale snow connects with the white robes, while the dark ground and blood marks preserve the grim atmosphere of Bloodborne. This miniature was personally painted and filmed by me as a tribute to the sacred tragedy at the heart of Bloodborne—devotion twisted by madness, purity stained by the Hunt and faith transformed into horror. I’m still learning and experimenting with different miniature painting techniques. This project focuses on painting white fabric, controlled bloodstains, weathered metallic details and subtle storytelling through the base.
