In this review, we’ll cover gameplay, mechanics, components, strategy, player interaction, replayability, and whether Orloj deserves a spot in your board game collection. Designed by Abraham Sanchez Hermida and Paloma J. Pascual, Orloj combines worker placement, rondel-style action selection, resource management, engine building, and track progression into a deeply thematic euro experience. Players compete to build the legendary Prague astronomical clock by constructing gears, zodiac spheres, apostles, and calendar elements while optimizing actions around the rotating clock dial. If you enjoy crunchy euro games like Tzolkin, Coimbra, Lorenzo il Magnifico, or other medium-heavy strategy board games, Orloj may be worth checking out. The production and table presence are absolutely stunning, but does the gameplay live up to the presentation?
