Watch “Orchard: Want Some Help Getting a Score of 50 Plus?,” a how-to-play guide for Orchard: 9 card solitaire game from Larry Schneider on BoardGameVideo.
Description provided by Larry Schneider on YouTube:
This video will let you play along with me, and perhaps you’ll find this to be good practice toward getting better at the game. With this deck, I was finally able to break into the “pear-fect” scoring level. The actual playthrough starts at timestamp 0:06:40.
Before each placement, I’ll let you know which card numbers my program dealt to me. After a pause, I’ll tell you which card I chose to place. And after a second pause, I’ll let you know how I chose to orient the card. Finally, after a third pause, I’ll place the card.
Here’s a link to Mark’s (Mark Tuck, the designer) 18 numbered cards: https://www.boardgamegeek.com/file/download_redirect/3f204b165be2040a45c68b89eef0b36e6a1b18adb8587d36/Orchard_v1_numbered.pdf
And here’s a link to the question I also had about using the 18-card deck vs. playing with the 9-card double-sided deck:

The playthrough starts at timestamp 0:05:00. Let me know if you thought it was helpful playing along with me. If enough people request it, I’ll produce more practice, play-along videos like this that will possibly help you strengthen your game.
