Watch “New to BGA – Luz (You Can’t See Your Own Cards!),” a board game review for LUZ from Digital Board Gamer on BoardGameVideo.
Description provided by Digital Board Gamer on YouTube:
Luz is now on Board Game Arena! This is a unique trick-taking game with a wild twist: you can’t see your own cards—only their colors, while your opponents see everything.
How It Plays:
Each player gets 10 cards, arranged by color but without seeing their values.
You secretly bet how many tricks you’ll take each round, with the option to use a Safety Bead for one extra trick of leeway.
Tricks play out normally—follow suit if you can, otherwise play any card. Yellow cards are always trump.
The highest card in the lead suit wins the trick, unless a trump is played.
Scoring happens at the end of each round: hit your exact bid (or within +1 with a Safety Bead) for points. Miss your bid and you’ll lose points instead.
The game runs for four rounds, with escalating stakes. Bluffing, deduction, and clever card play all come together in a trick-taker that constantly keeps you guessing.
