Julian and Libby sit down with Line of Fire: Burnt Moon, a head-to-head lane battler set in the Undaunted Calisto 2200 universe. Unlike the larger Undaunted games, this one is built purely for two players, dueling it out as the fight for the control of lanes. Like traditional Undaunted games, players deploy ROVs, spend cards to maneuver, and fight for control. Initiative bidding adds tension every round, and victory comes from either dominating the lanes or pulling off an alternative win condition. The design focuses on tight decision-making rather than luck, which makes every play feel deliberate. It also carries over the deck-building DNA of the series while stripping away maps and scenarios, turning it into a faster and more contained duel. We explore how well it works for two players, how easy it is to pick up, and whether this burnt moon still shines in the Undaunted galaxy.
