Get your copy of Forbidden Bridge (2021) here: https://amzn.to/3Z1S5Hq Forbidden Bridge was designed by John Wallis and released by Milton Bradley in 1992. Forbidden Bridge features a 3D game board with a rope bridge suspended between two cliffs. When the vengeful idol on the end gets upset, he shakes the bridge, throwing our treasure hunters into the valley below. As it happens, Mr. Wallis commented on one of my earlier videos about Forbidden Bridge with some neat insight about the design. He says that he was inspired by footage of the Tacoma Narrows bridge collapsing in 1940, which I thought was a cool bit of backstory about this awesome game. The box art is jaw dropping, and if it reminds you of another popular series of adventures, you aren’t wrong. This was created by none other than Drew Struzan, the artist behind such iconic movie posters as Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, and Harry Potter! Today we’re going to have some fun and play the game! The rules are simple, players will take control of one of four little explorers. They will canoe down the river, climb the cliff, cross the bridge, and collect two jewels; delivering them safely to the finish to win the game. Players can only carry one jewel at a time, so they’ll need to make two trips across the Forbidden Bridge. Along the way, they will have the opportunity to steal from their opponents, sabotage them, or they may also anger the idol, risking everyone on the bridge at once! Let’s play!
