Description provided by Play-In Games on YouTube:

See Colin's amazing Tarot Deck: https://www.logos-divinae.com n this episode, I’m joined by Colin Snyder, the mastermind behind the Logos Divinae tarot deck, which merges the history of tarot with innovative design, making it both a fortune-telling tool and a versatile card game deck. We dive deep into the origins of tarot, debunking myths that link tarot to the occult, and instead, exploring its evolution from a simple card game in Renaissance Italy to its current status as a tool for divination and personal insight. Colin, a seasoned game designer with credits on major titles like Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto, brings a fresh perspective to the world of tarot. He discusses how the Major Arcana (originally called “triumphs”) were once used in games, and how they’ve been reinterpreted over the centuries into what we know today as the tarot deck. From its Christian and mythological symbolism to the intricate details of each card, Colin’s deck breathes new life into tarot card reading. Throughout the video, we explore iconic tarot cards like The Fool, The Magician, The Empress, The Devil, and The Tower, explaining their historical roots and how they’ve influenced modern tarot spreads. Whether you’re interested in the tarot’s connection to alchemy, astrology, or simply love the artistry behind tarot cards, this interview provides a fascinating look at how Colin’s Logos Divinae deck incorporates all these elements. Plus, Colin walks us through how tarot reading developed alongside fortune-telling traditions, drawing from playing card systems across Europe. He even demonstrates how you can use his multi-purpose tarot deck—proving tarot’s flexibility as both a meditative practice and a fun card-playing experience. Want to learn more about how tarot cards shifted from gameplay to becoming the mysterious and symbolic tools we see today? Curious about the layers of hidden meanings embedded in each card, from astrological correspondences to esoteric knowledge? This video covers it all. Colin’s deck, which includes references to ancient deities and Renaissance art, is a must-see for both tarot enthusiasts and casual gamers alike. About LOGOS DIVINÆ: The Occult Classic, from BoardGameGeek:

LOGOS DIVINÆ is a card game system that also serves as a historical guide to the mythology and deities of antiquity. Designed to function both as a conventional deck for classic card games and as an esoteric tool for tarot readings, it incorporates new mechanics inspired by Roman religion, alchemy, and astrology-reimagining your favorite classic games with historical depths. The OCCULT CLASSIC edition includes 91 cards: a standard 40-card deck featuring pips from Ace to Ten, each depicting symbolic and mythic figures; the 22 Major Arcana; 16 Alchemy Cards in place of traditional court cards; and 7 "Ludogems"-cards that add versatility for stringing together classic games like War, Go-Fish, and Blackjack. Players can use these cards for competitive play, solo sessions, family game nights, or as part of their meditative or spiritual practice. Every card in LOGOS DIVINÆ is fully illustrated, drawing inspiration from real-world archaeological discoveries of ancient Mediterranean and Mesopotamian cultures. Each card has an epithet, describing qualities that enhance its use in tarot readings. Each card contains a "Numen"-an additional symbol that can be used in a variety of ways. These symbols, based on major deities of antiquity, bring unique elements not found in traditional card formats, enabling you to play inventive versions of classic games like Rummy, Scopa, Klondike Solitaire, and Crazy 8s.
