The Kavango Lodges Expansion adds a wonderful puzzly dimension to the game, with card placement mechanics now vital to building and growing your nature reserve. This gives the game added strategic depth and complexity, and allows for a more diverse approach to gaining the most points to be crowned the conservation expert!
The Lodges Expansion tells more of the human story of conservation. You must now bring in ecotourism as a way to sustainably finance your conservation work, just like the incredibly successful ecotourism industry in real life in Southern Africa.
But you also have to consider the communities around your nature reserve. For conservation efforts to be successful and sustainable it is vital that people living alongside wildlife benefit from it. In order to keep expanding your nature reserve with new species you must invest in community protection to keep people, their land and their businesses safe from conflict with wildlife.
