Along the way, they encounter friends to guide them or foes that can hinder their progress to Mount Doom. As the hobbits move through Middle-Earth the flying Nazgul are constantly trying to thwart their progress. Also included in the game is a slightly more advanced version, where through the use of the Palantir, hobbits are discovered and delayed as they approach Mordor. Do not confuse this kids game with The Lord of the Rings, the cooperative game of the same name and by the same author Join David and Julie as they present a vintage "How to Play & Play Through" of J.R.R. Tolkien's "the lord of the rings" board game from 2003.
