Introduction to VALLAMKALI - The Boat Races of Alappuzha, Kerala

Description provided by MOZAIC GAMES on YouTube:

The waves are calling, and the crowds are cheering. Hundreds of oarsmen take their place on the snake boats, with a prayer on their lips, and in perfect sync with the beat of the drums. Vallamkali, Kerala’s iconic boat races, are so simple. Take your mark, work as a team, and win the race. But there is also a lot under the surface! Vallam-kali: Boat-race (Malayalam language) | Ala-ppu-zha: Ala-poo-rha (a village in Kerala known for the backwaters, also known as Alleppey) Start with your basic team, enhance your team by bidding for the best players and then race simultaneously (just like in real life)! Craft a powerhouse team, synchronized in perfect rhythm, to surge forward and gain momentum. Bet on the team you think will win at each milestone (it need not be your own!). If your team wins the race, there is a lot of money to be won. And if it looks like the finish line is a little further for you, strategize your bets to be the richest player overall at the end of the game to win. Vallamkali is not just a boat race; it is the spirit of Kerala. It brings communities together; it unites generations of spectators and participants alike. We invite you to take your place on the snake boat and row fiercely through the backwaters of Alappuzha. . To order your copy www.mozaicgames.com
