Due to the lack of videos in English on how to play Tien Gow and how to effectively remember the tile rankings, I've decided to make this tutorial.
You can find the resources I made in this video (tile ranking and scoring summaries) on Board Game Geek's Tien Gow page.
This is an overview of the basic gameplay to start complete beginners off. The detailed scoring methods have been included in the video, but I did not talk about them explicitly because I think it's better to grasp the basics first, and they could later be referred to by coming back to the video.
A point I'd like to add for scoring:
In the simplified scoring section, I'd like to add that if you've won no tricks that hand, you get a further -1 for your trick score. This is mentioned in the full scoring reference, but I left it out of the simplified section, although it's important enough that I think should be part of the simplified explanation.
