Welcome to Fun with Boxes, Episode 287: How to Play the delightful Board Game, Shall We Dance, Designed by Saashi and with glorious artwork by Takako Takarai, and published by Saashi & Saashi Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Shall We Dance! Your mission is to pair up the dancers and become an expert in certain styles. The game features seven colours of dancers, with each colour having half the cards for ladies and half for gentlemen. On your turn, you can play one to three cards of the same gender from either a colour you don’t have or just the colours you already have. If you can now pair a gentleman and lady of the same colour, do it! Then, for each colour you played, check if another player has a free card of the same colour and opposite gender. If they do, grab one and make a pair in front of you. The player who took the card gets 1-2 points from the reserve. To finish your turn, fill your hand back up to eight cards by drawing one to three cards, one from each stack. Once all the stacks are empty, the game is over, and each player reveals one more card to try and make a final pair. Score one point for each pair you have. Also, each player with the most cards in a colour gets three points, and the next player gets one point. The player with the highest score wins!
