About HePing Escort Agency, from BoardGameGeek:
HePing Escort Agency stands atop the Four Seas Continent as the industry's foremost escort service, its ranks filled with skilled escorts. As the aging Chief prepares to retire, you must compete to recruit the best escorts, optimize caravan routes, manage finances and supplies, while navigating taxes and alliances - will your leadership prevail in this ultimate test of strategy?
Escort agencies were the elite delivery forces of Ming and Qing dynasty China - the original armored trucks operating on bandit-infested trails, where every Heping ("Peace") Escort needed lethal skills to guarantee safe passage, turning their agency's name into an ironclad promise of security in dangerous times.
Heping Escort Agency is a 1-4 player board game of resource management and movement planning. During their turn, players must perform these 3 actions in order: First, Tribute (optional) - deliver porcelain to officials to activate their card effects; Second, Recruitment (mandatory) - select and acquire 1 Escort card (higher-level Escorts require silver payment); Third, Escort Mission (mandatory) - move your Escort team the designated steps to trigger both location effects and card effects.
Players earn points by delivering goods, completing objectives, and establishing connections with Chief Escorts, with the highest-scoring player winning the game.
