About Helm's Slain, from BoardGameGeek:

In Helm's Slain, players are adventurers in a cooperative dungeon crawl campaign, defending the Kingdom of Helm from monsters emerging from nearby dungeons. Over nine levels of the dungeon, the party must survive increasingly difficult encounters and defeat the final threat. Players choose from five character classes, each with distinct abilities that influence strategy. Turns are taken simultaneously, with players rolling dice to resolve combat and allocating hits across enemies. A character's level determines how many d6 they roll-the higher the level, the more dice they can throw. Players pair these dice strategically in a unique combat system to land hits on enemies. Combat takes place on battle boards. Each board has a front row for melee, and a back row for spells and ranged attacks. Positioning matters: front-row heroes can't cast spells, and spellcasters forced into melee can't cast at all. A light Game Master role manages scenarios and monster actions. A free companion app (optional) can run the GM and provides a player view for tracking stats digitally if players prefer. The game includes over 550 unique monster encounters, combining cooperative tactics, resource management, and unpredictable challenges in every session. -description from the publisher
