In this Gencon 2018 Spotlight, Arcade Castle talks with Tomas Härenstam of Fria Ligan Förlag (Free League Publishing) about Crusader Kings and Tales From The Loop. Crusader Kings is a recently successful kickstarter campaign that adapts the 2004 PC Strategy Game by Paradox Interactive where you play as one of the great European dynasties in Medieval Europe. Crusader Kings sees you on the battlefields of Europe and in the palaces and castles of royalty and nobility as you negotiate through guile and war to spread your power and influence across the continent. However, to ensure the longevity of your dynasty, you must marry, and marry well, for your traits, and the traits of your wife, will be passed down to your heirs and, if too many negative character and personality traits begin to pile up, your hold on power may weaken and crumble. Crusader Kings is for 3-5 players and takes 2-3 hours to complete. The game comes with: 306 tokens, 289 cards, 10 Dynasty Boards, 5 Family Boards, and game board. Crusader Kings has an tentative release date for the end of 2018. **AUGUST 2018** In August, Free League Publishing will be taking late pledges at their website to secure a copy of this game.
