GAME SYSTEM This entry is to allow for discussion/rating of the game system as a whole. It is not for a specific product or release. Versions will appear on the individual item pages. Face off in the ultimate Pop! battle In the Funkoverse Strategy Game, you combine your favorite characters and go head-to-head in four exciting game scenarios. Use your characters' unique abilities to gain points and achieve victory! Each turn, you select one of your characters and perform two actions. Each character has access to basic actions like moving and challenges as well as several unique abilities that may be performed only by spending ability tokens. Funkoverse uses an innovative "cooldown" system - the more powerful the ability, the longer it will take for the ability token to become available again - so players have to spend their ability tokens wisely. Each character in Funkoverse is unique, so players are encouraged to try out different combinations of characters and items in order to discover their favorite synergies and powerful strategies for all four game scenarios. As of launch, the Funkoverse Strategy Game consists of four-character sets and two-character sets. Every four-character and two-character set is playable as a standalone game and comes with exclusive Funko Pop! Figures that aren't available anywhere else, a double-sided board, tokens, cards, an item, and dice. Sets may be combined with one another, allowing players the freedom to play how they like! -description from the publisher Linked entries in the BGG database: Funkoverse Strategy Game: Alice in Wonderland 100 Funkoverse Strategy Game: Aggretsuko 100 Funkoverse Strategy Game: Back to the Future 100 Funkoverse Strategy Game: DC Comics 100 Funkoverse Strategy Game: DC Comics 101 Funkoverse Strategy Game: DC Comics 102 Funkoverse Strategy Game: Game of Thrones 100 Funkoverse Strategy Game: Golden Girls 100 Funkoverse Strategy Game: Golden Girls 101 Funkoverse Strategy Game: Harry Potter 100 Funkoverse Strategy Game: Harry Potter 101 Funkoverse Strategy Game: Harry Potter 102 Funkoverse Strategy Game: Jaws 100 Funkoverse Strategy Game: Jurassic Park 100 Funkoverse Strategy Game: Jurassic Park 101 Funkoverse Strategy Game: Kool-Aid Man 100 Funkoverse Strategy Game: Marvel 100 Funkoverse Strategy Game: Marvel 101 Funkoverse Strategy Game: Rick & Morty 100 Funkoverse Strategy Game: Space Jam A New Legacy 100 Funkoverse Strategy Game: Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas 100
