Watch “Fallout the Board game: Rise of the Master - Session 1,” a gameplay video for Fallout from No Perfect Move on BoardGameVideo.
Description provided by No Perfect Move on YouTube:
This is the first session of a full true-solo play-through of Rise of the Master scenario from Fallout the Board Game, plus the New California and Atomic Bonds expansions.
Aligned with The Brotherhood of Steel, I must prevent The Unity from gaining too much presence across the wasteland, while completing the Brotherhood's quest.
What happened to the previous solo Fallout play through of The Pitt? Well, it's somewhat embarrassing that a commenter spotted I was playing a fundamental rule incorrectly - something I mis-learned years ago! I though it would be unfair to have people use that incorrect play as a basis for discovering and learning the game, so here's an all-new play-through.
This play-through uses two variants:
1. Dogmeat! My personal variant for a more Fallout-like Dogmeat companion who can help you in fights and go off to find you cool swag. Details at https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/2546189/dogmeat-more-authentic-thematic-companion
2. Limited Enemy activation: only enemies on your character's tile or adjacent tiles, will activate when their symbol is drawn from the activation deck.
If you are playing solo and want to hide the encounter card decision outcomes, there's a web app for that! : http://laurihuovila.fi/fo/

About Fallout, from BoardGameGeek:
Fallout is a post-nuclear adventure board game for one to four players. Based on the hit video game series by Bethesda Softworks, each Fallout scenario is inspired by a familiar story from the franchise. Survivors begin the game on the edge of an unexplored landscape, uncertain of what awaits them in this unfamiliar world. With just one objective to guide them from the very beginning, each player must explore the hidden map, fight ferocious enemies, and build the skills of their survivor as they attempt to complete challenging quests and balance feuding factions within the game.
As they advance their survivors' stories, players come across new quests and individual targets, leading them to gain influence. Who comes out ahead depends on how keenly and aggressively each player ventures through the game; however, if a single faction is pushed to power too quickly, the wasteland will be taken for their own, and the survivors conquered along with it.
