Defenders of the Realm: Definitive Edition | "Game Pitch" Podcast Excerpt

Description provided by Greater Than Games on YouTube:

Dive into the heart of Defenders of the Realm: Definitive Edition with this comprehensive audio "Game Pitch" from the Play Greater Podcast (Greater Than Games). Developers and playtesters Christopher, Paul, Alex, and Dario break down everything you need to know: the core goal, setup, round phases, and the distinct play styles of both defenders and enemies. Along the way, they explore the modular, mix-and-match possibilities unlocked by the Convergence expansion, recount the perils of managing darkness, and share what happens when a defender goes down (no player elimination here!) or when a boss is finally defeated and sweet loot is divvied out. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or new to the cooperative classic, this preview will give you a foundational grasp of how to definitively defend the realm. Give it a listen and consider joining the adventure! 00:00 - Overview 15:26 - Dark Phase 21:01 - Dawn Phase 23:18 - Day Phase 29:37 - Elite Mode 33:24 - Convergence (Expansion) 40:10 - Boss Rewards 46:20 - Minion Charges 48:06 - Dusk Phase 51:53 - Loss Conditions 56:43 - Win Conditions 58:17 - Recap
