Get your copy of Connect 4 here: https://amzn.to/41qjOSN Connect 4 is a classic game of skill and strategy originally created by Howard Wexler and produced by Milton Bradley in 1974. Players take turns dropping their checkers into a vertical board with the goal of being the first to connect 4 in a row vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. In 1988 Connect 4 was "solved" by James Dow Allen and Victor Allis. It was proven that the first player could always win within 42 moves while employing the game theory concept of perfect play. This is no small feat, as the Connect 4 board's 6x7 row design and 42 spaces means that there are 4,531,985,219,092 possible positions. Today I have an original 1974 Milton Bradley edition, and a current 2020 Hasbro edition. Let's see what has changed, and what stayed the same over the course of almost 50 years!
