About COMAO: Composite Air Operation, from BoardGameGeek:
Is it the smell of jet fuel or the thrill of the mission electrifying the tarmac? Bombs and missiles are loaded under the wings of fighters ready for combat. Pilots check their navigation and targeting systems while engines roar all around. With a nod, the mission leader launches the first strike package.
Intelligence reports a deadly wall of enemy air defenses, backed by agile interceptors. Meanwhile, enemy strike aircraft keep pounding ground forces. It's time to turn the tide. It's time to launch a COMAO - a Combined Air Operations mission!
In COMAO, you take command of complex air operations in a tense tactical showdown. The high command assigns you objectives that must be neutralized by the air assets under your operational control - fighter jets, bombers, helicopters, drones, satellites, and even ground or naval systems (available in expansions).
Each target destroyed earns Victory Points. The first side to reach 10 points wins the game and seizes air superiority!
We've worked hard to model, simplify, and streamline the complexity of modern air warfare to create an accessible and immersive experience. Like a real cockpit, the game is designed to ease your cognitive load, letting you focus on making the right decisions.
Fueled by discipline, countless test missions, and a deep passion for military aviation and wargaming, COMAO offers players - aviators and enthusiasts alike - a glimpse into the demanding world of air operations, where every resource is powerful, precious, and never unlimited.
Take the lead. Command the skies. Deploy your air power.
