Clash of Cultures: Monumental Edition | First Playthrough

Description provided by fenirob on YouTube:

Watch our first game of Clash of Cultures and see how many of the mechanisms work, as we learn how to play. (Make sure to turn on KLINGON subtitles, as I will be adding them for the many mistakes we didn't catch) We are playing the short variant here, which is 4 rounds and has a couple of different rules (explained as we go) to speed the game along. We only finished three rounds due to time constraints, but we talk through our strategies for round 4 before ending. I tried to catch all rules mistakes, and obviously this game would have been full of asterisks for whomever would have won. A HUGE MISTAKE we made was taking more resources than the city sizes warranted. Should only be one resource per city size (plus one if city is happy). Still, I hope this provides a look at the flow of the game play and mechanics (and some decent entertainment) for anybody who is interested in this outstanding board game. I promise there will be a complete playthrough of our next game posted in the not too distant future, with far less rules mistakes. If you notice any mistakes we did not note, please point them out in the comments. Thanks for watching, and please consider subscribing to my channel.
