Catharsis Board Game - Rules Walkthrough

Description provided by GetTheTables on YouTube:

I wanted to put together a rules walkthrough for Catharsis, for anyone interested, and it turned into this beast! I cover the rulebook straight through so if you watch this (or skip around to choice bits using the timestamps) you'll know all you need to get you started playing the board game Catharsis (by Cyber Wizard Games). Also apologies for the glare on all the cards. My lighting setup is still a WIP. Likewise, apologies for any finicky edits in the video. Still getting the hang of this stuff. 0:00 Intro 1:28 Components 6:11 Setup - Boss Deck 10:37 Setup - Player Deck(s) 13:40 Setup - Morale Tracker 17:29 Card Anatomy - Boss Cards 24:16 Card Anatomy - Player Cards 30:36 Player Deck Rules - Core 32:12 Player Deck Rules - Role Card 35:21 Player Deck Rules - Damage 42:31 Morale Tracker Rules 45:49 Boss Deck Rules 48:21 Combat - Basic Sequence 49:27 Combat - Player Phase - Rolling Dice and Activating Abilities 53:09 Combat - Player Phase - Dice Symbol Breakdown 58:34 Combat - Player Phase - Ability Effects [Deal Damage, Prevent Damage, Prevent Morale Loss] 1:01:40 Combat - Player Phase - Ability Effects [Adjust Die/Dice, Replace Ability] 1:04:31 Combat - Player Phase - Ability Effects [Heal, "Target"ing, "Up To"] 1:07:35 Combat - Player Phase - Resolving Abilities, Targeting Addendum 1:13:15 Combat - Boss Phase - Damage and Applying Damage, Combat Flow Recap 1:18:41 Outro
