3-Minute Unboxing of the Carpe Diem from Ravensburger. Today we'll unbox Carpe Diem designed by Stefan Feld with artwork by Lalanda Hruschka. Carpe Diem is a tile placement game originally published in 2018. Players are working to build the most lucrative city district in ancient Rome. Although not a strongly thematic game, the game play and mechanisms are fantastic. On each turn, you'll move your Meeple and collect a square tile. You'll add the tile to your player board to collect resources, private scoring objectives, or set yourself up to meet the public scoring objectives. After collecting 7 tiles you'll enter a scoring round. The scoring objectives vary each game and each location can only be selected once during the game.
