Watch “Doom 2nd Edition | Painting Pinky | Beginners Guide,” a how-to-play guide for DOOM: The Board Game from Gazbowski on BoardGameVideo.
Description provided by Gazbowski on YouTube:
I recently bought the Doom 2nd Edition board game from Fantasy Flight Games and love it, but thought the miniatures really needed painting. I haven't done any painting in 20 years so this was a bit of an experiment for me to find out how good I could get them to look given my limited talents.
Being quite pleased with the results I thought it might be useful to others that may be similarly lacking in confidence but would like to get their Doom miniatures looking pretty good.
This is the second in the series where I show you how to paint a Pinky. It is a fairly straightforward one to do with some small detail that's pretty easy to paint to a decent standard. To paint this figure you will need the following paints
- primer spray (whichever colour you prefer - I use black)
- Screamer Pink
- Screaming Skull
- Reikland Fleshshade
Just follow these simple steps
- coat miniature in primer
- apply a coat of Screamer Pink
- apply a second coat of Screamer Pink
- paint any bone detail you like (don't forget his teeth) with Screaming Skull
- apply a coating of Reikland Fleshshade
- apply a second coating of Reikland Fleshshade
And that's it! It's easy to do and will result in your Pinkies looking far more intimidating when they arrive on the table during your games :)
I hope you find this useful. I have other videos planned for each of the other enemy types in the game but if there's one that you'd like to see let me know in the comments and I'll see what I can do.
Thanks again!

About DOOM: The Board Game, from BoardGameGeek:
Description from the publisher:
DOOM: The Board Game is strategy board game of tactical combat for 2-5 players based on Bethesda and id Software's video game of the same name. Featuring two distinct player roles, the game brings the epic battle between elite marines and Hell's most threatening monsters to the tabletop.
DOOM immerses players in a fierce battle between legions of demons - which are controlled by one invader player - and a cooperative team of up to four marines. The game guides players through two cohesive operations, during which the marines strive to achieve objectives like restoring power to the United Aerospace Corporation's facilities or manning expeditions right down into the pits of Hell. Meanwhile, the invader commands their demons to slaughter the soldiers time and time again in an attempt to protect their fiery domain and destroy all of humanity.
The game features custom dice, double-sided map tiles, and thirty-seven detailed plastic miniatures representing four marines and thirty-three demons. It includes two operations, Black Bishop and Exodus, consisting of six missions each.
