The game portrays us in the year 871 AD. The great viking invasions of the algosaxon's britain isle. The wessex kingdom, the last anglosaxon's kingdom not subdjugate by vikings is under attack by the great heathen army. The king is Aethelred , with his brother Alfred (later be known as Alfred the great) are the only hope for the wessex kingdom and the last stand for saxons in the britain isle. This is a both strategic and tactical wargame boardwame set in the, so called, dark ages.
