Run your own studio and paint famous works of art. In Vernissage, 2-4 players hire artists from ten art movements, from Impressionism and Art Nouveau to Cubism and Art Informel, and complete paintings by Vermeer, Monet, van Gogh, Klimt, Matisse and many others. Every painting card is divided into paint fields that call for the colours of the original. Roll the colour dice, buy pigments and mix them: red and yellow make orange, green and navy make fir green. Finished paintings go on show in your gallery or up for sale. Bonus and penalty cards add strokes of luck and small disasters. Over eight rounds, players combine art movements, develop their artists and decide when to exhibit and when to sell. Vernissage can be played competitively, cooperatively against a strict curator, or solo. A guided introductory game teaches the rules step by step. All paintings in the game are in the public domain. -description from the publisher
