Pacific War 1942 places you in command of the Allied naval and land forces in the Pacific during World War II. The Japanese AI tries to expand its empire early in the game and overwhelm the Allies. As the Allied player you must hold and then push the Japanese back to Japan. Both sides command armies and navies throughout the entire war in the Pacific. Further, control of the sea areas greatly influences land battles and progress in the Pacific. The first edition of this great game sold out quickly. This is the second edition. It replaces the Japanese Action Chart with Japanese Action Cards and the rules sheet with a rules booklet. The second edition box is slightly different and the game board uses an Australian flag in Australia. -description from the publisher
