You and your teammate are explorers sent across the galaxy by the Federation to discover uncharted worlds. On a newly discovered planet, you'll encounter strange creatures, collect rare crystals, and earn glory by completing missions. In Very Big Monster, players build their own exploration area through the game's signature Smart Draft system. Simultaneously, everyone chooses a card from their hand, adds it to their landscape, then decides which player will receive their remaining cards. Every decision matters: the cards you pass may help a teammate, tempt an opponent, or completely change the course of the game. Designed primarily as a team game, Very Big Monster transforms drafting into a collaborative challenge. Explorers must not only develop their own strategy, but also support their partner's progress. Explorer cards can score from both players' landscapes, creating opportunities for powerful combinations and encouraging constant cooperation. Communication is not the only way to gather information. Some cards reveal useful information on their reverse side, and observant players can study the backs of cards in other exploration areas to anticipate strategies, identify opportunities, and react to their opponents' plans. As the game unfolds, players discover monsters, collect crystals, complete missions, and expand their exploration areas. The modular Space Base provides varied objectives directly on its modules, offering quick setup and renewed challenges from game to game. At the end of the expedition, victory points are earned from monsters, crystals, missions, and Explorers. But in team games, success depends on everyone: a team's final score is equal to the score of its lowest-scoring explorer. To win, helping your partner can be just as important as advancing your own plans. Very Big Monster can also be played in a classic free-for-all mode, where every explorer competes individually to achieve the highest score. Will your team become the Federation's greatest explorers? -description from the publisher
