The death of the great Osiris is shrouded in legend. After the passing of this beloved king of Egypt, the struggle for succession between Horus and Set escalated until it reached the moment of final judgement. In the solar palace at Heliopolis the two factions tug ceaselessly back and forth, while the assembled gods stand watching the trial unfold. Ra, the sun god, wishes to court the formidable might of Set without alienating the many followers of Horus, and so takes upon himself the role of mediator, striving to keep the scales in balance. As a servant of the gods, you will work to sway the tide of events and help your chosen deities gain the upper hand. You may seize the opportunity to declare a prophecy, but above all you must secretly swear your allegiance - for when the struggle is finally settled, all of your efforts will be repaid in glory beyond measure. Gods of Egypt is played over three rounds, each consisting of ten tricks. The card that wins each trick advances the Influence marker according to its direction and value. At the end of every round, players score points based on the final position of the Influence marker (through successful allegiance and successful prophecies). After three rounds, the player with the highest total score wins. In the event of a tie, all tied players share the victory. -description from the publisher
