The Revelation Abyss

The Revelation Abyss

1 - 4 players
60 - 180 min

From BoardGameGeek

In the dark-fantasy world of Trisk, powerful forces clash beyond human understanding, leaving mortals trapped between angels, demons, and forgotten entities. Drawn by the secrets of a once-dominant kingdom, players lead elite squads in a legacy-driven RPG for up to 4 players, seeking to uncover the source of its power before the world collapses into chaos. The game combines exploration, branching quests, and tactical combat. Players move across regions, complete objectives, and develop their squad by replacing its members with summoned warriors - angelic, demonic, and otherworldly beings that redefine their strategy. PvP skirmishes are frequent and opportunistic, as players exploit moments of weakness and fight for dominance, maneuvering between shifting alliances and hidden intentions. Choices shape each playthrough. Decisions can permanently alter available paths, locking or unlocking questlines and changing the course of the game. As players push deeper, they must balance growing power against a rising madness system, while the Bell of Abaddon acts as a global timer - if it tolls too many times, all players lose. The goal is to outmaneuver opponents, survive escalating pressure, and ultimately reach the Archives to claim control over Trisk before the end is triggered. —description from the publisher
