From BoardGameGeek

"Robed figures can be seen gathering in the woods at night. People are going missing. Disgusting creatures are terrorising the seaside. The rapid technological progress of the modern era brings comfort...but also new unknown threats. Old Gods, malicious Eldritch beings who ruled the world eons ago, are awakening as reality starts to crumble. Armed with clues, spells, and your dwindling sanity, you'll investigate mysteries across the city and in the realms beyond. An old train slows down and stops at its last station. The end of the world is at hand, and you've finally arrived at the doomed town" From an eldritch pact between Lost In Cult, Panstasz and Ysbryd Games comes World of Horror: The Board Game. It gives flesh to Paweł Koźmiński's original board game concept that inspired the World of Horror video game, dragging it into the physical realm, manifesting at last, its unpredictable terror. In this single player card-based survival RPG (but be sure to have your friends gather for the experience), players wander the seaside town of Shiokawa. Solving mysteries, combating nightmarish creatures and navigating tough decisions, all whilst racing against the relentless ascent of the Doom Wheel. Horrors stir in the shadows and the ceaseless presence of the Old God looms over their every step. A cold reminder that flesh is a fragile veil and survival is never guaranteed. To succeed in cleansing Shiokawa, three mysteries are to be completed in a single and unbroken sequence. Should they fall to the abominations that dwell within Shiokawa, or should the Doom Wheel reach 100%, the slumbering Old God awakens devouring all life. Mood: An oppressive, eldritch horror RPG
