Tile Wars is an abstract take-that game with unique tile placement and scoring mechanism. The base game has 4 additional maps, and can be played at 3 levels. Coop and Solo modes are available without the take that action. Score based on the position of other tiles, but use the action cards to seriously improve your scores or mess up your opponents. A turn consists of – Drawing a card Playing a tile Scoring a tile Drawing tiles back up to 5 on your rack If at the start of a turn you have 0 or 1 tile, draw from the bag to have 2 tiles before playing. When playing a tile, you must place a YELLOW level 1 tile if you have it, then BLUE level 2, then RED level 3. Any number of cards can be played at any time, subject to the play restrictions on the card e.g. if it says ON AN OPPONENTS TURN, then it can be played at any point during any opponent's turn. The black number in the circle on each tile is its value. Tiles places NEVER score their own value but score based on the x1, x2, x2 etc on the spaces referred to on the tile. Tile values get stronger each level. When the bag is empty of tiles and you are playing the 2 or 3 level game, put 2 random blue tiles in the void and the rest in the bag. When the bag is empty again, do the same for red tiles if playing the full 3-level game. YELLOW tiles must be placed on level 1 on the board. BLUE tiles can only be placed ON TOP of YELLOW tiles. RED tiles can only be placed ON TOP of BLUE TILES. -description from the designer
