GrimBrew is a competitive potion brewing game where rival alchemists clash to score the most Ember Jelly. The alchemist with the most Ember Jelly at game's end is crowned Head Alchemist and wins this dangerous game. Each alchemist commands a laboratory powered by flames, your primary resource. Your lab holds extract cards with strange and powerful effects that you'll mix to brew potions. On your turn, you can draw an extract to your lab, brew a potion by spending a flame, or rekindle to restore two flames when you're running low. Brewing works like cracking a combination lock. Draw the right extracts into your lab and mix them to fulfill a potion's recipe. When you succeed, that potion's power unlocks permanently, supercharging your lab for the rest of the game. The more you brew, the faster and more profitable your engine becomes. But you're not brewing alone. Mawlings change everything. These mischievous, many-eyed creatures can be summoned through certain extracts and sent to rival labs. When a Mawling-infested alchemist brews a potion, the creatures steal Ember Jelly and scurry back to whoever sent them. Timing your brews becomes a constant fight against these pests swarming your workspace. Strategic planning matters in GrimBrew, but you need to stay quick on your feet. When the market refreshes with new potions or extracts, your beautiful plans crumble to dust. You need to think long term but adapt fast, regroup when chaos hits, and brew the right potion in the moment.
