Glory is Fleeting (Glory) is a set of rules for using miniatures to recreate on tabletop the Revolutionary War and Napoleonic battles of 1792 to 1815. It is a comprehensive set of rules suitable for pick-up casual games, to recreate larger army-level historical battles and for the rigour of competition or tournament play. The rules are divided into sections, each corresponding to a sequential phase in the process of setting up and playing a game of Glory. Coloured page sidebars differentiate the sections for easy location during play. Each section is prefaced by a conceptual explanation which (while not forming part of the rules) gives insight into what is being represented. Following the rules are sections covering lines of communications, the use of redoubts, playing large historical refights and playing a shorter Glory 600 game. This volume then sets out over 160 comprehensive army lists from which forces can be constructed. A glossary rounds out the book. -description from the designer
