Captain for a Day

Captain for a Day

2024·Mike Petty

2 - 5 players
20 - 60 min

From BoardGameGeek

Peter Pan recently seized command of The Jolly Roger, but his restless heart longed for adventures across Neverland and worlds beyond. Before even a week at sea, he knew he needed a trusted First Mate to take charge when he was away. To find the most capable, Peter devised a fiendishly fun contest. He ordered the Lost Kids to take turns as Captain of his vessel–a new Captain for each new day. Each Captain's first task would be to decide which of the others should gain powerful advantages for their quest. As one of the Lost Kids in Neverland, your goal is to wisely use your resources to gain the most Command before Peter returns. You'll do this over several rounds (days). Each round will have two phases. First the Captain for the round will offer Peter's deal to the other players. Deals promise powerful benefits. The players have to decide how much they're willing to give up for the deal. The Captain has the tough decision of who gets it. After that, each player will take a turn. They will choose to either gain more resources for future rounds, or they'll use what they have to gain Command through adventures in Neverland and actions on the Jolly Roger. After a set number of these rounds, Peter returns and the winner will be determined. -description from the publisher
