From BoardGameGeek
After being decisively defeat at the Battle of Gazala, the 8th Army, now led by Claude Auchinleck, retreated eastwards into Egypt. Hopes to hold the Axis forces under Erwin Rommel at Mersa Matruh(26th to 28th June) were quickly dashed and the dispirited Allied forces pulled back to the El Alamein line. Rommel's forces were buoyed by their rapid advance and fuelled by large quantities of captured Allied supplies. -description from the publisher Each hex is about 2 kilometres or 1.2 miles across. Each turn represent 3 days with the exception of Turn 1 which covers 2.
