Players take on the role of tax collectors dispatched to this troubled territory. As aspiring young aristocrats, they aim to distinguish themselves to earn a coveted position at Sigismund's court. The objective? To amass the highest tax revenue for the king while also garnering support from influential estates. Success ensures a place by King Sigismund's side. Spanning six turns, each representing a year, players visit one of the six cities as tax collectors. Collected goods are stored in royal or estate reserves, granting players sway in King Sigismund's court.
