Puppets in High Places is set in the same universe as With a Smile & a Gun, but it is a standalone game, not an expansion. After gaining control of the streets of Gattory City, mob bosses are setting their sights to the next level: getting a foothold in City Hall. Puppets in High Places is a cutthroat game of underhanded power. Players will go through the Streets to obtain the resources they need to bribe VIPs and gain their favour. They will then proceed to the Speakeasy, where they will fight over these VIPs through a dynamic tug-of-war mechanism. Of course, mob bosses that they are, they have tricks up their sleeves and goons working the back alleys. Puppets in High Places uses an evolving rondel, which the players will modify throughout the game, and a tug-of-war mechanism where players try to score VIP's represented by dice, whose value the players will also influence. -description from the publisher
