Crisis Imperator

You have been appointed as the Imperator over a galactic Empire that is in the throes of an existential crisis. The long-decaying Empire is now under threat from four enemies, and must defend itself from, and ultimately defeat, these alien and internal threats. Utilizing a unique battle system that combines resource allocation with dice rolling, you must keep the enemies at bay until the Empire is strong enough to counterattack and damage one enemy so badly that it can no longer threaten you. Each of the 12 rounds of this solitaire challenge starts with the selection of a policy that the Empire implements to improve its chances of survival. Next, resources are spent to build and improve the Empire's forces. Lastly, the Empire's forces are allocated to face the various enemies, strategically losing where necessary, and holding the line in other theaters where the peril is too great. Meanwhile, as the Imperator, you must maintain the support of the Grand Senate, which appointed you. If they believe that you have become too ambitious, or that you lack the necessary qualities, you will be forcibly removed.
