From BoardGameGeek

Peninsula is a challenging and very strategic flip & write in which you are drawing the map of a fictional island. You draft symbols and draw them on adjacent hexes of your architect token, while offering symbols to your competitors to draw. Try to build an infrastructure, so your architect can move more efficiently over your map and stay flexible. Draw symbols, which increase your victory points and fulfill contracts along the way with your drawn patterns to please the monarch of your Peninsula. The winner is determined, by points for the most efficient peninsula after the last symbol card is drafted. The novel mechanism is that you cannot draw anywhere but only on adjacent hexes to your architect token. This forces players to move at the right time to the right place, otherwise players run out of hexes where they can draw new symbols.
