In July 1922, the citizen of Parma's popular neighborhoods massively adhered to the national strike proclaimed against fascist violence. The fascists decided to give an exemplary lesson to the city: the first days of August thousands of 'black shirts' started arriving from all over Italy, laying siege to the city. The citizens - united in an anti-fascist front - prepared to resist, barricading themselves the neighborhoods of Oltretorrente and Naviglio. Una Vittoria Impossibile: Le Barricate di Parma del 1922 ("An Impossible Victory: The Parma Barricades of 1922") tells the story of those days of resistance. You will lead the people of the city in repelling the attack of the fascist squads.
