Karigar-e-Taj

Karigar-e-Taj

2023·Amit Ghadge, Phalgun Polepalli

2 - 4 players
60 - 90 min
Medium weight: Teach it in one sitting

From BoardGameGeek

You will play the role of a Karigar (Artisan) and strategically place your workers to gather the material you need in an ever-changing market. And you are not alone. Rival artisans seek the Emperor's favour too. Gather goods and mohurs (coins), optimise your resources to fulfil your secret blueprint objectives and use your resources wisely to build the Taj level by level to earn bakshish (gifts) and Taj points from the Emperor. Build your strategy to earn the maximum Taj points by completing various levels of the Taj Mahal. To complete each level of the Taj, you need specific resources. Place your workers on spaces that will yield historically authentic resources you can use or trade. Capture Special Marketplaces that will expand your pick of resources and generate revenue for you. When you have the resources you need, build a section of the Taj. You might just end up helping your opponents meet their bonus objectives. Is it worth the risk? Each level you build yields Taj points and Baksheesh (gifts) from the Emperor. Watch out for the market and your opponents. It evolves as soon as a section of the Taj is built, and your rivals can use this against you. The game ends immediately when the last Taj tile is built. The player with the most Taj points at the end of the game wins! -description from the publisher
