From BoardGameGeek
"The Siege of Khartoum" is a low to moderate complexity tactical wargame covering the Mahdist siege of Egyptian-held Khartoum during the Mahdist Revolution. The game takes about 90 minutes to play. One side commands the Mahdist units and the other side commands the Egyptian and British units. Cards allow variety of play. The object of the wargame for the Mahdist player is to capture Khartoum while the Egyptian player attempts to hold out until British reinforcements arrive. The Siege of Khartoum utilizes a game system based on The Historical Game Company's earlier "Battle of Quebec" wargame. The game contains 48 5/8" counters, 20 cards, one game map and two dice. -description from the publisher
