The game if similar to Halma or Stern-Halma (AKA Chinese Checkers) but is played strictly by two players with a standard draughts set. Each player starts with pieces at a corner of the board, and the object is to move all one's pieces to thee other player's starting position before the oponent does the same. No captures are made but pieces can jump as in draughts. How this fundamentally differs from similar games is the rectangular, rather than triangular, grid of the board and/or being a strictly two player game. Its history is described in this file on BGG.
