Local television nostalgia. I dig up old VHS and Betamax tapes, looking for old retro/vintage footage from the Calgary area. (Also Spokane, WA & Coeur d'Alene, ID whose stations air in Calgary. I'm told that their U.S. audience is less than half the size of their Canadian one.) What you'll primarily find here includes: -80s, 90s, early 2000s commercials, promos, newscasts & bloopers from CTV (CFCN), 2&7/Calgary 7/Global (CFAC, CKKX, CICT), CBC (CBRT), A-Channel/Citytv (CKAL), Red Deer's RDTV (CHCA), and U.S. stations PBS (KSPS), NBC (KHQ/Q6), CBS (KREM), ABC (KXLY) -Home movies -Modern-made Calgary flashbacks Please send me an email if you can donate any old pictures, tapes, footage, or just want to tell stories about old Calgary.
